First time I ever heard these guys, they rocked.

The New Orleans Jazz Preservation Society was outstanding, they made at least two new Fans on Sunday.

Really enjoyed Avett Brothers.

Also saw a guy named Nathan Moore who was on one of the small stages, he was really good and funny as heck. He as a streaming project going at www.hippyfiasco.com

Lots of other fun stuff at Mountain Jam.

Glad you had a good time. My folks took me to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Avery Fisher Hall (Lincoln Center) when I was a kid - I have long been a fan of that style of music.

It was marvelous that performances were broadcast live over the internet. I managed to stay awake Friday and Saturday nights to watch the webcasts of the Warren Haynes Band and Gov’t Mule. That Man in Motion guy really puts on a righteous show. As much as I wanted to, I couldn’t make it through Umphrey’s (had to be at work 5:30 on Sunday.)

haha we did not last to the end of Umphree's either. We did stay up for the whole show Friday night (closed out the 7 Walkers), although we went to hotel room to regroup after Spearhead, caught the last hour and a half of Warren Haynes band - awesome!! We are definitely planning on going back next year.

I was there too! I thought the Avett Bros. and Preservation Hall Jazz Band were excellent as well, along with Umphreys and Mavis Staples and many others, but as a MMJ fan, I must say their closing show was the highlight for me. Gov't Mule might not be playing many shows this year, but I think everyone there had enough Warren Haynes to last quite a while.

I also watched the North Mississippi Allstars stream over the internet as well as Michael Franti and Spearhead. It was great to be watching live and glad they shared. Sure made me wish I was there. I couldn't stay awake into the night to watch Gov't Mule - too late for me in England. But I did get on the phone to my brother back home and sent him to the link. He watched it and sent me great reports the next day. I'll be checking out these Archived shows, thanks to all involved.

Vacationing near Lake Tahoe awhile back and the North Mississippi Allstars were playing at a local casino, so on a whim we caught their show. Unbelievable fun, they really jam. Highly recommended- hope to see 'em again someday.
